Markelin began with Nappa Electric in 2021 as an Electrical Engineer. He joined the company from Weston & Sampson Inc. where he was a Project Engineer and prior to that, was an Electrical Designer at Architectural Engineers, Inc.

Markelin has a diverse range of experience in the engineering field and immediately made an impact within Nappa's electrical design team. His expert knowledge of the National Electric Code and overall skill set in design, greatly strengthened Nappa’s capacity in engineering. Markelin’s responsibilities include; developing electrical construction documents for commercial, laboratories, office fit-up, ground-up/core&shell and institutional projects using Revit. His other responsibilities are leading internal page-turns with project teams, attending A&E design meetings, creating markups for fellow designers.

He is a graduate of University of Massachusetts Lowell and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
